Like this DIR-826L wireless N with gigabit ports going for $10

I see people complaining about having to buy switches or not having enough ports all the time. I have a tip for you, that old WiFi router with multiple gigabit ports that’s collecting dust, can always be provisioned as a switch. I mean who doesn’t have one or has friends or relatives that will just be glad to give you one. I had a 5th gen Airport extreme and a Wave 1 TP Link router that had multiple gigabit ports that I don’t use as my main router anymore and I used them as switches for a while. Dumb unmanaged switches are anyway cheap to even buy new, or you can source some old WiFi routers from Craigslist of FB marketplace for as low as $5-$10. Just put it in bridge mode or disable DHCP, disable WiFi and you are good to go.
